The book of Galatians is a vigorous defense of the centrality of the gospel. The gospel is our spiritual genetic code; the fundamental building blocks of the Christian life. The gospel is the message that God has rescued us from evil, freed us from slavery, united us in Christ, adopted us as his children, and given us his Holy Spirit. If we lose the gospel we lose everything.
Jesus was a man who was born to die, but he died knowing he would be raised again from the dead. Even though we have sinned against God, Jesus lived a perfect life for us and died a cruel death for us. But death did not have the last word, he rose again on the 3rd day, triumphant over sin and death.
